Title: George Washington
Description: George Washington is an outdoor bronze sculpture of George Washington by John Quincy Adams Ward, located in front of Federal Hall in New York City's Lower Manhattan, in the United States. The statue was unveiled in 1883 to commemorate Washington's 1789 inauguration in the building, which served as the capitol building of the United States at the time. The statue appears briefly in the 1976 remake of King Kong, when the giant ape passes the statue at night.[citation needed]
